چکیده

SAR interferometry is a promising and sophisticated technique by which two SAR images of the same scene, acquired from two consecutive passes of the carrying satellite platform, are brought into interference for generating a digital terrain model of the observed surface. Due to the difference in viewing angles and to a non-strict parallelism of the orbits at the times of acquisition, corresponding pixels in the two images are not necessarily associated with the same terrain element, leading to image de-correlation. The pre-requisite for interferometry is therefore that the two images be accurately superimposed to each other, i.e., co-registered.

A Study on Robustness of Various Deformable Image Registration Algorithms on Image Reconstruction Using 4DCT Thoracic Images

Background: Medical image interpolation is recently introduced as a helpful tool to obtain further information via initial available images taken by tomography systems. To do this, deformable image registration algorithms are mainly utilized to perform image interpolation using tomography images.Materials and Methods: In this work, 4DCT thoracic images of five real patients provided by DI...

Image Quality Degradation and Retrieval Errors Introduced by Registration and Interpolation of Multispectral Digital Images

Full utilization of multispectral data acquired by whiskbroom and pushbroom imagers requires that the individual channels be registered accurately. Poor registration introduces errors which can be signiicant, especially in high contrast areas such as boundaries between regions. We simulate the acquisition of multispectral imagery in order to estimate the errors that are introduced by co-registr...

Optimized co-registration method of Spinal cord MR Neuroimaging data analysis and application for generating multi-parameter maps

Introduction: The purpose of multimodal and co-registration In MR Neuroimaging is to fuse two or more sets images (T1, T2, fMRI, DTI, pMRI, …) for combining the different information into a composite correlated data set in order to visualization, re-alignment and generating transform to functional Matrix. Multimodal registration and motion correction in spinal cord MR Neuroimag...

Surface reconstruction of detect contours for medical image registration purpose

Although, most of the abnormal structures of human brain do not alter the shape of outer envelope of brain (surface), some abnormalities can deform the surface extensively. However, this may be a major problem in a surface-based registration technique, since two nearly identical surfaces are required for surface fitting process. A type of verification known as the circularity check for th...

Reducing Interpolation Artifacts for Mutual Information Based Image Registration

Medical image registration methods which use mutual information as similarity measure have been improved in recent decades. Mutual Information is a basic concept of Information theory which indicates the dependency of two random variables (or two images). In order to evaluate the mutual information of two images their joint probability distribution is required. Several interpolation methods, su...
